Vice President of Marketing
The VP of Marketing is a key leader responsible for driving the development and implementation of marketing strategies and initiatives that support commercialization. This individual is responsible for maximizing effectiveness of the Marketing department while ensuring collaboration across all functional areas and partners within and outside the company. This individual will lead brand management and how the company’s products are positioned in the marketplace. Additionally, this individual will be a core contributor to pipeline; assessing, recommending, advising on strategic decisions and direction of both sales and marketing efforts.
Your responsibility
  • Work closely with executive team to ensure that the strategic vision of this disruptive technology will engage the necessary decision makers and relevant audiences
  • Lead the Product Brand development at industry events and exhibitions. Focus on identifying KOLs and maintaining productive relationships
  • Lead all digital media and marketing campaigns in order to gain the attention of hospitals and relevant decision makers
  • Ensure brand strategies and operational activities meet prevailing external and internal regulations, ethical standards and policies
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership team to develop and monitor forecasts and KPIs
  • Develop and implement robust marketing plans, strategies and tactics
  • Develop and manage the expense budget, displaying strong cost effectiveness measures
  • Participate with Business Development activities as appropriate
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4-year College or University
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of product markets, customer needs, target audiences, market segmentation, and competitive influences and translate into commercial implications and focus
  • Advanced degree (MBA) advantageous
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant industry marketing or related experience, Senior level preferred
  • A substantive record of accomplishment in leadership roles of progressive responsibility within biotechnology, device and/or other medical technology industry. Experience with thoracic surgery, surgical navigation or pulmonary medicine is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership of product portfolio planning, new product development, and launch
  • Extensive knowledge in product marketing and a solid understanding of market research, strategic planning, and forecasting to guide and assess the business
  • Experience outside of marketing in functions such as sales, market access, business development and broader corporate functions have additive value
  • Versatility and desire to work in highly dynamic startup environment
